In some
communities where children are included in a wide range of activities, they are
keen observers and learn through contributing to the ongoing activities of
their community.
This website presents theory and research on this cultural tradition for learning, which has been labeled "Learning through Intent Community Participation." It appears to be especially common in communities where children are routinely included in a wide range of activities of the community, such as many Indigenous communities of the US, Mexico, and Guatemala.
